Apple Pay


Introduction #

Did you know that you can accept payments through Apple Pay using Stripe’s Payment Request API?  Enabling Apple Pay will definitely increase ease of payments among Apple users and hence improve conversion rates. 

Here are some steps to get you started with the process.

Register Domain #

In order for customers to use Apple Pay on your site, you need to register the domain of your site with Stripe.

1. Go to your WordPress dashboard

2. Go to Woocommerce Settings and click on Payments.

3. Go to the Apple Pay tab and you will find the register domain button.

4. Click that button and your domain will be automatically registered.

Settings #


Title:

This text will appear on the checkout page of the Apple Pay gateway.

Description:

Using this text, you can give a brief explanation about this payment method.  (It is also optional)

Credit Card Display:

This setting determines the way Apple Pay payment methods appear on your site.

Charge Type:

Charge type influences when the funds will be captured from your customer’s credit card.  If authorizations are made against the card, the funds can be captured at a later date.

Payment Sections:

Apple Pay will be available on your product page, cart page and checkout page.  You can use this setting to control where you want to keep the payment option available.

Order Status:

When a customer orders on your site and completes the payment, Woocommerce will automatically set the order status.  Using this option, you can override the default setting and control the order status as you need.

(Note: This option will come into effect only when a customer makes the payment)

Button Design:

You can use this setting to modify the Apple Pay button which appears on pages where you accept payments.

Checkout Button Type:

You can choose to display between the two types of buttons: the standard Apple Pay button or the Buy Now button which redirects to Apple Pay.

Cart Button Type:

You can choose to display between the two types of buttons: the standard Apple Pay button or the Buy Now button which redirects to Apple Pay.

Product Button Type:

You can choose to display between the two types of buttons: the standard Apple Pay button or the Buy Now button which redirects to Apple Pay.
